GLANCE
Nice dark copper look to it and with high viscosity.
NOSE
Nose was a joy on this one. I got lot of baking spices, pepper, dark chocolate, like floral perfume, date/raisin mix, and poundcake with spice. I also got strong notes of oak and nuttiness.
Drop of H2O – I got more of the floral perfume, maybe like rose syrup, blueberry muffins with nutmeg spice
TASTE
Lot of what I was getting on the nose followed through on the palette. I got lots of vanilla, cinnamon, dark fruit, slight peppercorn tingliness on the tongue throughout the tongue. You can taste the rustic oakiness and nutty flavors. Pointing more to the fact of longer aged bourbons are present. The mouth feel overall was medium creaminess, very smooth and oily. The punch from the proof rounds up the taste and starts into the finish.
Drop of H2O – Got more spice in the backend of my palette, with most of the flavors brought down a couple notches.

FINISH
The finish is long with spiciness throughout, with notes of ginger and dark chocolate. You get a nice Kentucky hug that rounds out the finish.
CLOSING REMARKS
This was an enjoyable drinking experience from top to bottom, and the story behind Nevada H&C Distilling makes it a cherry on top. The bottle design I must say adds more to the value of the product and it looks great on the shelf! I was impressed with their introductory offering (Smoke Wagon Straight Bourbon) though NAS but most likely a young bourbon gave a sweet and smooth drinking experience. Their uncut unfiltered offering, takes things to the next level. I loved the hits of baking spiciness, peppercorn tongue feel and oakiness. Not the most complex bourbon I have drank, but there was enough flavors to pick out to keep you intrigued. Those longer aged bourbons aging in the intense dessert heat, I think really gives the impression of rustic cowboy with some soft edges. The oakiness with stoned fruit and dark chocolate really come together well. It felt well balanced throughout and I would buy it again! Aaron Chepenik is cooking up some delicious things and I look forward to trying other offerings in their Smoke Wagon line!
