NOSE
Clean with pronounced intensity. Beautifully well rounded bourbon nose. Rich vanilla, caramel and brown sugar. Toasted cashews with toasted butter toast. Nice cinnamon aroma with oat meal in the background.

PALATE
Creamy and mouth-filling texture with pronounced intensity and medium sweetness overall. Caramel, brown sugar and cinnamon in the front. Sweet oat, boiled milk, wet oak and cooked brown pears. Some cooked chocolate like notes. There is a great harmony of quintessential bourbon flavors with cooked flavors and fruits.

Long with some complexity. Fudge, hot cocoa, and caramel. There is a hint of chocolate covered with cooked strawberry like note
CLOSING REMARKS
I believe 1792 offers one of the best values in bourbon today. Their small batch expression, stacks up well or beats out flagship products from other producers. Their full proof expression is one of my all-time favorites. Every time my favorite store(s) picks a full proof barrel, I am all over it! Single Barrels are hit and miss all the time, even if they are from your favorite producer. At or just below $40 price point to get a product that is aged in a federally bonded warehouse under U.S. government supervision for at least four years, and is bottled at exactly 100 proof is great. The regular bottle in bond doesn’t blow my socks off but this single barrel expression of bottle in bond came close. Only the finish left me with more to desire in terms of complexity for a perfect score. I found it to be super drinkable with a lot of flavors to dig through. Cheers!
